”Have no fear of difficulties but consider them as a blessing of the Three Jewels. If you have problems, know them to arise in your mind because of your own karma and therefore do not blame others for them.”
(Lama Henrik)
With this in mind, retreatants from the drubkhang and from the center (residents and visitors) had the opportunity to practice under the guidance of Lama Henrik from the 15th of August until the 15th of November 2011. In a closed retreat we all followed the same rhythm of four sessions per day. Everybody did their individual practice in their own room, and we practiced daily Mahakala and two monthly tsok pujas together.
Once a week, Lama Henrik answered our questions and gave instructions on meditation and on the mind; based on Mahamudra–The Ocean of True Meaning by Karmapa Wangchug Dorje. During the last month of retreat, Lama Henrik also gave us the Tibetan reading transmission (lung) of Mahamudra–The Ocean of True Meaning.
How fortunate we have been to find such favourable and supportive practice conditions.
